1923 0-series Leica sells for £1.7 million

0-series Leica camera, which was made in 1923 as test product for the 35mm film market, sold for 2.16 million euros ($2.8 million) at the WestLicht Photographica Auction in Vienna on May 12, 2012. At present, it is the most expensive camera in the world that has ever been sold. Only 25 of the cameras were produced and 12 of them are now known to exist today.
